Day 1 SFO / BEIJING
Board Air China or United Airlines' wide body jetliner for Beijing, the capital of China. Cross the International Date Line and lose a day.

Day 2 BEIJING
Arrive Beijing, the capital of China, check into the Five-star Jade Palace Hotel or similar.

Day 3 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Today we'll visit Tian-an-men Square and Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years, the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests, the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi.

Day 4 BEIJING (AB,L,D)
Excursion to the spectacular Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. Visit Beijing Olympic National Stadium, "Bird's Nest" if it is open to the public. Enjoy Beijing Duck Banquet in the evening.

Day 5 BEIIJING / SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport and take flight to Shanghai. Today's sightseeing includes the Museum of Art and History in the afternoon. Check into the Four-star Ambassador Hotel or similar.

Day 6 SHANGHAI (AB,L,D)
Visit the major attractions, such as Nanjing Road, the world-renowned Bund on the city's waterfront, which was the int'l area developed during the colonial era and Yuyuan Garden in the Old Quarter. Enjoy Acrobatic Show at night.

Day 7 SHANGHAI/WUHAN/YICHANG (AB,L,D)
Fly to Wuhan at the junction of the Han and Yangtze Rivers. Visit the Provincial Historical Museum. Then you will be transferred to Yichang and board the five-star Yangtze No. 1 Cruiser approved by the National Tourism Administration of China, or similar class.

Day 8 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B,L,D)
Depart from Yichang at 7:00AM. Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site around 9:00AM, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. Continue sailing through the Xiling Gorge, the longest section of the Three Gorges system. Enjoy a welcome cocktail party hosted by the captain.

Day 9 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B,L,D)
This morning we will board smaller boats for a trip up to Lesser Three Gorges or Shennong Stream. Enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountains as you pass through the Wu Gorge. Continue to the last of the Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge.

Day 10 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B, L, D)
Shore excursion to the mysterious Ghost City, Fengdu. Go and explore how ancient Chinese people view their death and rebirth in giant carvings and sculpture. Enjoy a farewell banquet in the evening.

Day 11 CHONGQING/XI'AN (AB, L, D)
Our cruise concludes as we arrive in Chongqing, then take a city tour and visit the Panda Zoo. Take late afternoon flight to the ancient city of Xi'an. Check into the Five-star Grand New World Hotel or similar.

Day 12 XI'AN (AB, L, D)
A full-day sightseeing features one of tour highlights, the army of Terra-Cotta Warriors, created 2,200 years ago to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in his afterlife, the majestic Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall. Top off the day with Dumpling Dinner followed by Tang Dynasty Culture Show!

Day 13 XI'AN / GUILIN (AB, L, D)
Morning flight to the mystical of Guilin. City tour features the Reed Flute Caves and Elephant Trunk Hill. Check into the Five-star Lijiang Waterfall Hotel or similar.

Day 14 GUILIN (AB, L, D)
Spend the day aboard a scenic Li River cruise, passing picturesque farms and fishing villages with its thousands of limestone outcroppings, Guilin has been the inspiration for generations of silk scroll painters.

Day 15 GUILIN / GUANGZHOU / H.K. (AB, L)
Fly to Guangzhou in the morning. A city tour shows Chen Clan Temple and Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall. Then take a train to Hong Kong. Check into L' Hotel or similar.

Day 16 HONGKONG (AB)
Half-day Hong Kong Island tour begins in the morning including a cable car ride up to Victoria peak for a panoramic view of Hong Kong. You also visit Repulse Bay and Aberdeen with its floating community. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure for shopping and personal activities.

Day 17 HONGKONG (AB)
Enjoy your own leisure day and exploring.

Day 18 HONGKONG / SFO (AB)
