Day 1 SFO/BEIJING
Depart aboard Air China or United Airlines 747 wide jetliner for a comfortable transpacific flight (cross the international dateline.)
Day 2 ARRIVE BEIJNG
Welcome to Beijing, China's Capital City. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to the five-star King Wing Hotel or similar.
Day 3 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Excursion to the spectacular Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. Visit Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years. Enjoy Beijing Duck Dinner in the evening.
Day 4 BEIJING/XI'AN (AB, L, D)
Take morning flight to Xi'an, the ancient capital. Upon arrival, visit the army of Terra Cotta Warriors, created 2,200 years ago to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. Also visit the Neolithic Banpo Village. Enjoy Dumpling Banquet & Tang Dynasty Songs and Dances Show. Check into the four-star Hotel Royal Garden Xi'an or similar.
Day 5 XI'AN/LHASA (AB, L, D)
Fly to the holy city of Lhasa, capital of the mystical Buddhist Kingdom of Tibet. Locked away in its mountain fortress of the Himalayas, Tibet has long had a unique hold on the imagination of the West. You will be at leisure this afternoon at the hotel with time to adjust to the high altitude. Check into the five-star Brahmaputra Hotel or similar.
Day 6 LHASA (AB, L, D)
We will start off our tour of Tibet with the 15th Century Drepung Monastery and the Norbulinka, formerly the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. Then we will visit Sera Monastery.
Day 7 LHASA (AB, L, D)
Today visit the overwhelming Potala Palace, home to the Dalai Lama, the 1300 year-old Jokhang Temple, Tibet's holiest temple. Finally we will have time to browse and shop in a fascinating market.
Day 8 LHASA/CHENGDU (AB, L, D)
In the morning fly to Chengdu. After lunch continue to visit the Wuhou Temple and the Chengdu Zoo sightseeing the pandas. Check info the newly renovated four-star Yinhe Dynasty Hotel or similar.
Day 9 CHENGDU/MT. LESHAN/CHENGDU (AB, L, D)
After breakfast, drive to MT. Leshan where to visit the Great Buddha, which is approved as the world cultrue heritage. After then, return to Chengdu.
Day 10 CHENGDU/HANGZHOU (AB, L, D)
Take morning flight to Hangzhou, the capital of the Zhejiang province. Renowned for its beauty, Hangzhou is home to West Lake, which is surrounded by misty hills and walkways with panoramic views. Visit a silk factory and the Tea Production Brigade. Check into the four-star Howard Johnson's Oriental Hotel or similar.
Day 11 HANGZHOU (AB,L, D)
Today visit the Ling Yin Monastery and Temple, founded in AD 326. Proceed to the famous Six-Harmonies Pagoda and relaxing cruise around West Lake.
Day 12 HANGZHOU/WUXI (AB,L, D)
Coach to Wuxi; visit the beautiful Lake Taihu, one of China's five major freshwater lakes. Major scenic sports include Yuantouzhu (Turtle-Head Islet) Park, a well-known tourist resorts in China, and the famous Xihui Park. A visit to the clay figurine factory will end your trip in Wuxi. Check into the four-star JinJiang Grand Wuxi Hotel or similar.
Day 13 WUXI/SUZHOU/SHANGHAI (AB,L, D)
In the early morning, proceed to Suzhou, the city noted for its silk. Cruising the charming Grand Canal. Visit the silk Embroidery Research Institute, and the Garden of the Master of the Nets. Arrive Shanghai in the afternoon. Check into the four-star Ambassador Hotel or similar.
Day 14 SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
Shanghai, the commercial center of China. Today, you will tour the major attractions of the city, which includes Nanjing Road at the shopping center, Yuyuan Garden, the Museum of Art and History. Enjoy Acrobatics Show at night.
Day 15 SHANGHAI/SFO(AB)
Fly home on board Air China or United Airlines wide cabin 747 jetliner.
