Day 1 SFO / BEIJING
Board Air China or United Airlines' wide body 747 jetliner for Beijing. Cross the Int'l Date Line and lose a day.
Day 2 ARRIVE BEIJING
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China, transfer to Five Stars Jade Palace Hotel Beijing or similar.

Day 3 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years, the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowage Ci Xi, and the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors once prayed for good harvests.
Day 4 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Excursion to the spectacular Great Wall. Visit Beijing Olympic National Stadium, "Bird's Nest" if it is open to the public. Enjoy your Beijing Duck Banquet in the evening

Day 5 BEIJING/WUHAN/YICHANG (AB, L, D)
Fly to Wuhan at the junction of the Han and Yangtze Rivers. Visit the Provincial Historical Museum. Then you will be transferred to Yichang and board the five-star Yangtze No. 1 Cruiser approved by the National Tourism Administration of China, or similar class.

Day 6 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B,L,D)
Depart from Yichang at 7:00AM. Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site around 9:00AM, the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. Continue sailing through the Xiling Gorge, the longest section of the Three Gorges system. Enjoy a welcome cocktail party hosted by the captain.
Day 7 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B,L,D)
This morning we will board smaller boats for a trip up to Lesser Three Gorges or Shennong Stream. Enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding mountains as you pass through the Wu Gorge. Continue to the last of the Three Gorges, Qutang Gorge.
Day 8 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE (B, L, D)
Shore excursion to the mysterious Ghost City, Fengdu. Go and explore how ancient Chinese people view their death and rebirth in giant carvings and sculpture. Enjoy a farewell banquet in the evening.

Day 9 CHONGQING (B, L, D)
Our cruise concludes as we arrive in Chongqing, city tour and Panda Zoo. Check into Four Stars Wanyou Conifer Hotel Chongqing or similar.

Day 10 CHONGQING / LHASA (AB, L, D)
Take flight to the holy city of Lhasa, the capital of the mystical Buddhist Kingdom of Tibet. Locked away in its mountain fortress of the Himalayas. Day 11 LHASA (B, L, D)
Today's sightseeing includes the overwhelming Potala Palace, home to the Dalai Lama, the Bakuo Street, and the Jokhang Temple, built in 647 by Songtsen Gampo and has a history of more than 1300 years.
Day 12 LHASA (B, L, D)
Full day sightseeing of Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and the Norbulingka Park.

Day 13 LHASA / XIAN (AB,L,D)
After breakfast, transfer from hotel to Gongga airport. Take flight to Xi'an. Check into Five Stars Grand New World Hotel or silimar.

Day 14 XIAN (AB,L,D)
A full day tour recalls the glories of ancient Xi'an, as we visit the burial site of an incredible army of 8000 lifelike Terra-Cotta Soldiers. Afternoon, visit the Ancient City Wall and Wild goose Pagoda. Top off the day with Dumpling Dinner, followed by Tang Dynasty Culture Show!
Day 15 XI'AN / SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
Take flight to Shanghai, a world-known cosmopolitan city in China. Visit the Museum of Art and History in the afternoon. Enjoy Acrobatic show at night. Check into the Four Stars Ambassador Hotel or similar.

Day 16 SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
Today's sightseeing introduces the major attractions, which includes Bund along Shanghai's waterfront of the city, Yuyuan Garden. Enjoy free shopping activities in the afternoon. Coach will pick you up for dinner and then back to the hotel.
Day 17 SHANGHAI / SFO (AB)
Fly home on board Air China or United Airlines' wide body jetliner.
