Day 1 SFO / BEIJING
Depart on board Air China or United Airlines' wide-body 747 jetliner, crossing the Int'l Date Line and lose a day.
Day 2 ARRIVE BEIJING
Upon arrival, transfer and check into the Five-star Jade Palace Hotel or similar.

Day 3 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years, the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowage Ci Xi, and the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors once prayed for good harvests.
Day 4 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Excursion to the spectacular Great Wall. Visit Beijing Olympic National Stadium, "Bird's Nest" if it is open to the public. Return to the city in time for your Beijing Duck Banquet.

Day 5 BEIJING / XI'AN (AB, L, D)
Take morning flight to Xi'an. Today's city tour includes the majestic Wild Goose Pagoda and ancient City Wall. Enjoy Dumpling Dinner followed by Tang Dynasty Culture Show at night. Check into Five-star Grand New World Hotel or similar.

Day 6 XI'AN / GUILIN (AB, L, D)
A full day tour recalls the glories of ancient Xi'an-the burial site of an incredible army of 8,000 lifelike Terra-Cotta Soldiers; ancient Banpo Village. Take evening flight to Guilin and check into Five-star Lijiang Waterfall Hotel or similar.

Spend the day aboard a scenic Li River cruise, passing picturesque farms and fishing villages with its thousands of limestone outcroppings, Guilin has been the inspiration for generations of silk scroll painters.

Day 8 GUILIN / KUNMING (AB, L, D)
After breakfast, visit the Elephant Trunk Hill and Reed Flute Caves, where spectacular stalactite and stalagmite formations dazzle visitors. Take afternoon to Kunming and check into the Five-star Bank Hotel or similar.

Day 11 KUNMING/LIJIANG (AB, L, D)
Take morning flight to Lijiang, which is a small town with a spectacular mountain backdrop, bordering Tibet. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking scenery and have a stopover at a Bai village to see the traditional stone buildings. After lunch, visit the Black Dragon Pond, and the Dongba Culture Exhibition Museum, which represents the Dongba Pictographic Characters & Naxi Minorities mysterious Culture, some of which still use the matriarchal social system up till today. Late afternoon, tour the ancient Town of Lijiang, recently named a World Heritage Site by the United Nations in 1999. Check into the Four-star Sightseeing Hotel or similar

Day 12 LIJIANG (AB, L, D)
A whole day tour starts with a visit to Yufeng Si, a traditional Lamasery famous for its 1000-year-old Camellia Tree. Take cable car ascending Yulong (jade dragon) Mountain to visit Yunshanping grassland, and tour the Baisha Naxi minority village with the ancient Dongba minority's wall paintings.

Day 13 LIJIANG/SHANGHAI(AB, L, D)
Fly to Shanghai, the largest gateway city of China. Transfer and check into the Four-star Ambassador Hotel or similar.

Day 15 SHA/SUZHOU/SHA (AB, L, D)
Take coach to Suzhou city. Today's sightseeing features Suzhou Silk Embroidery factory, Fishing Net Garden, and Grand Canal Cruise. Take afternoon coach back to Shanghai.
Day 16 SHANGHAI (AB)
Enjoy the opportunity for you to explore Shanghai city.
