Day 1 SFO / BEIJING
Depart on board Air China or United Airlines' wide-body 747 jetliner, crossing the Int'l Date Line and lose a day.

Day 2 ARRIVE BEIJING
Welcome to Beijing, China's Capital City. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to Five-star Jade Palace Hotel or similar.

Day 3 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Visit Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, the residence of emperors for more than 500 years. The Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowage Ci Xi, and the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests.

Day 4 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Excursion to the spectacular Great Wall. Visit Beijing Olympic National Stadium, "Bird's Nest" if it is open to the public. Return to the city in time for your Beijing Duck Banquet.

Day 5 BEIJING / XI'AN (AB, L, D)
Take morning flight to Xi'an, the ancient capital. Upon arrival, visit the army of Terra Cotta Warriors, created 2,200 years ago to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. Also visit the wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy Dumpling Banquet & Tang Dynasty Songs and Dances Show. Check into the Five-star Grand New World Hotel or similar.

Day 6 XI'AN / LHASA (AB, L, D)
Visit the ancient City Wall in the morning. After lunch, fly to the holy city of Lhasa, capital of the mystical Buddhist Kingdom of Tibet. Locked away in its mountain fortress of the Himalayas, Tibet has long had a unique hold on the imagination of the West. You will be at leisure this afternoon at the hotel with time to adjust to the high altitude. Check into Four star local-best Tibet Hotel Lasha or similar.

Day 7 LHASA (AB, L, D)
We will start off our tour of Tibet with the 15th Century Drepung Monastery and the Norbulinka, formerly the summer palace of the Dalai Lama. Then we will visit Sera Monastery.

Day 8 LHASA (AB, L, D)
Today visit the overwhelming Potala Palace, home to the Dalai Lama, the 1300 year-old Jokhang Temple, Tibet's holiest temple. Finally we will have time to browse and shop in a fascinating market.

Day 9 LHASA / CHENGDU (AB, L, D)
In the morning fly to Chengdu. After lunch continue to visit the Wuhou Temple and the Chengdu Zoo for sightseeing the pandas. Check into the newly renovated Four-star Yinhe Dynasty Hotel or similar.

Day 10 CHENGDU / MT. LESHAN / CHENGDU (AB, L, D)
After breakfast, drive to Mt. Leshan where to visit the Great Buddha, which is approved as the world culture heritage. Then, return to Chengdu.

Day 11 CHENGDU / HANGZHOU (AB, L, D)
Take morning flight to Hangzhou, the capital of the Zhejiang province. Renowned for its beauty, Hangzhou is home to West Lake, Which is surrounded by misty hills and walkways with panoramic views. Visit a silk factory and the Tea Production Brigade. Check into Four Stars Hang Zhou Honglou Hotel or similar.

Day 12 HANGZHOU (AB, L, D)
Today visit the Ling Yin Monastery and Temple, founded in A.D.326. Proceed to the famous Six-Harmonies Pagoda and relaxing cruise around West Lake.

Day 13 HANGZHOU / WUXI (AB, L, D)
Coach to Wuxi; visit the beautiful Lake Taihu, one of China's five major freshwater lakes. Major scenic sports include Yuantouzhu (Turtle-Head Islet) Park, a well-known tourist resorts in China, and the famous Xihui Park. A visit to the clay figurine factory will end your trip in Wuxi. Check into Four-star Jinjiang Grand Hotel or similar.

Day 14 WUXI/SUZHOU/SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
In the early morning, coach to Suzhou, the city noted for its silk. Cruise on the charming Grand Canal. Visit the silk Embroidery Research Institute and the Garden of the Master of the Nets. Arrive Shanghai in the afternoon, Check into Four-star Ambassador Hotel or similar.

Day 15 SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
Shanghai, the commercial center of China. Today, you will visit the major attractions of the city, which includes Nanjing Road at the shopping center, Yuyuan Garden, the Museum of Art and History. Enjoy Acrobatics Show at night.

Day 16 SHANGHAI/SFO (AB)
Fly home on board Air China or United Airline's wide body 747 jetliner.
