Day 1 SFO / BEIJING
Depart from San Francisco by Air China or United Airline’s jetliner for Beijing. Cross the International Date Line and lose a day.
Day 2 ARRIVE BEIJING
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China, and transfer to the four-star Central Garden Hotel or similar. http://www.centralgardenhotel.com
Day 3 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
Today’s sightseeing includes the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors offered sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest. Also visit Beijing Zoo, Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City where the emperors of Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty ruled China. Visit the famous high school affiliated with Qinghua University and performing with the school chorus at the school arts center. There will be time for social exchange between the students.
Day 4 BEIJING (AB, L, D)
In the morning, take a coach to the Great Wall, a symbol of China and a fantastic sight that can never be omitted. The chorus will do a brief performance in uniform at the Great Wall entrance plaza and a special group picture will be taken on the Great Wall. In the afternoon, you will visit one of the Ming Tombs, where thirteen emperors of Ming Dynasty were buried there. Enjoy Beijing Duck Banquet in the evening.
Day 5 BEIJING/SHIJIAZHUANG (AB, L, D)
Visit the beautiful Summer Palace, on the Shore of Kunming Lake, the traditional emperors’ summer residence. In the afternoon transfer to the city of Shijiazhuang by deluxe coach. Check into the five-star Hebei Century Hotel or similar. In the evening Welcoming Banquet will be hosted by Hebei Provincial Government and other Provincial leaders. http://www.hebei-centuryhotel.com
Day 6 SHIJIAZHUANG(AB,L, D)
City tour includes Longxing Monastery in the morning. After lunch, there will be an exchange performance with Shijiazhuang No.1 High School students. In the evening share the stage with chorus and dancing teams.
Day7 SHIJIAZHUANG / BEIJING / Xi'AN (AB, L, D)
In the morning depart for Beijing by deluxe coach. After lunch, transfer to the airport for flight to Xi’an, once China’s capital and an important city on the silk road, transfer to the four-star Hotel Royal Garden Xi’an or similar. Welcome Dumpling Banquet hosted by the Municipal Tourism administration followed by Tang Dynasty Culture Show. http://www.hotelroyalgardenxian.com
Day 8 XI'AN (AB, L, D)
A full day of sightseeing features one of tour highlights, the army of Terra Cotta Warriors, created 2,200 years ago to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife; and the Neolithic Banpo Village, which is an archaeological site discovered in the 1950’s. In the afternoon, an evening performance will be arranged at the Xi’an ChangAn No. 2 or XiJing University performing arts center, sharing the stage with Chinese student performing teams.
Day 9 XI’AN/SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
In the morning visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Take afternoon flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer to the Jinsha Hotel or similar. http://www.jinshahotel.com/jinsha1-en.htm
Day 10 SHANGHAI (AB, L, D)
Shanghai, a unique city, which was once, a European concession, blending the western architecture, oriental culture and bustling economic life together. Today’s city tour encompasses the Bund, the fascinating waterfront thoroughfare, and watch Pudong Development Zone, which are full of new skyscrapers at the other side of Huangpu River. Also visit the Yu Garden. In the afternoon, the chorus will have a choice either to perform in a large park at the Bund or walk around downtown shopping area. Enjoy Acrobatic Show at night.
Day 11 SHANGHAI / SFO (AB)
Fly home on board Air China or United Airline’s jetliner.
